Timeline

  1. It all began

    It was one fine day of April 2014 when we etched our story’s first words- Once Upon A Time and since then has successfully added many chapters. Starting with an approach of creative company first money second model, we till date do our business following the same policy. As a company, we have always created endless possibilities and have met some impossible deadlines yet serving the same quality that is expected out of Artists.

  2. ZA, the first brand on board

    Apart from us 2014 saw many other companies seeding their roots in the country. Za by Japanese company Sheseido was also one of them. In O.U.T media’s very first endeavour the company bagged the digital content mandate of ZA. A dream come true, we were in our very first project making global content for a global company with global standards. Almost 30 contents were made for the company throughout the business years. 

  3. Creating juice for The juice by Jabong

    Jabong launched their digital magazine ‘Juice’. We became their content partner along with other competitors. As a creative online fashion magazine they wanted to see variation in their video content. Hence multiple content production agencies were hired for the job. To cut through and make it to the list to create Juice’s content wasn’t an easy task. Nonetheless, we were too inclined to lose the account.We did it and it proved to be a mutually fruitful collaboration. Crazy content was made and crazier memories created.

  4. Ustraa: Unconventional brand, unconventional demands

    By now we had aced the art of working with new entrants. Ustraa became the next one. The online Men’s grooming range back then was fighting many taboos of the market. The idea of unconventional products like beard oil and moustache-grooming solutions with an unconventional idea of online selling needed unconventional content creators. Thankfully they saw it in us and asked us to create whacky and powerful videos. So with a basic budget we created Ustraa’s first few ads giving the range the push it needed. 

  5. Being creative with Being Indian

    Once upon a time media was now collaborating with many fellow creators. Culture Machine was one such company and Being Indian its blue eyed entity. With equal sensibilities and creative inclination O.U.T media partnered to create many branded videos with Being Indian. A young and diverse team at both ends ensured an influx of great videos mostly garnering million views.  

  6. Getting busy with Blush

    Looking at the good work being done for Being Indian, another channel under the wings of Culture Machine – Blush also gave us a shot for one of their videos. To our heartfelt satisfaction, that feat was also achieved with a pat on the back. Now O.U.T media was producing various videos for one of the biggest digital content creators in India and all was being done with utmost satisfaction and creative contentment. 

  7. Axis Bank’s Ace partnership

    2016 was going to be a busy year for team O.U.T media. As aggressive was our hunger for more work, equally aggressive was the response. Amidst many brands that we got in 2016, Axis Bank was the first. And it didn’t come with an easy task. Axis wanted to create an internal channel for all of its branches. 6-7 shows with around five episodes per show regarding banking knowledge were created. Ranging from studio shot to motion graphics content, the demand was for all and we persevered to successfully provide them to the fullest.

  8. Aditya Birla Money and a heartfelt campaign

    Our second brand mandate was from Aditya Birla. The money advisory entity, Aditya Birla Money asked us to collaborate and create digital commercials for Women’s day. The problem was that they wanted a powerful idea in an economical budget and within a week’s time. Saying No wasn’t an option. That big a brand doesn’t come on board with a normal task. We pulled up our sleeves and got to work and went on to make a top trending campaign with #IBuildMyUniverse. 

  9. The marathon campaign (quite literally)

    Spocto came to us inclined to make their brand video. The brand placed extreme trust in us and with that a huge amount of responsibility. We had to create an ad from scratch within 4 days as the fourth day was the company launch. With all the pressure on we ideated, finalised, pre produced and then post produced to get the final brand video. It turned out to be an exhaustive yet a proud experience. Unfortunately we all missed the video launch and the party since the team slept after a gruelling four day spree.

  10. Castrol Pro Kabaddi league and us

    The Castrol Pro Kabaddi league was coming again and this time it was going to be grander. And so was the ask. We were given 5 videos along with the digital promotion video of the league. The budgets were limited and expectations high. Thankfully we now had a brilliant production team to cut the costs and deliver at par. And so we did. All the campaign videos were made with great intentions and hence got equivalent appreciation.

  11. Indian Bank turns a new leaf with O.U.T

    Buzzinga Digital came to us with a familiar task for Indian Bank. We had to create a youtube channel for Indian Bank. Hence a lot of content which can go on that. Right from corporate documentary to infomercials and product videos, O.U.T media created it all and finally helped Indian Bank start their very first YouTube channel. It is still active and posts content about all their new initiatives.

  12. Creating a channel for a creator like Sun Pharma

    By the end of the year we had seen a lot of action. We have had our appetite but when Sun Pharma came after our very first approach we were taken aback. Ranbaxy had merged with Sun Pharma and so was their lethal marketing team. Thankfully they found the same spirit in us and got interested by our experience in creating a full-fledged YouTube channel for our clients in the past. Thus started the journey with Sun Pharma to create their youtube channel and initial 15 contents. We finished our year super busy and super contended. Our entire story now was adding new chapters on its own, to which we are thankful till this day.

  13. Spicing up the brand for Geetanjali Masala

    The year started with a local brand approaching us to make their TV commercial. Geetanjali Masala, a Lucknow based cooking masala company gave us the task of creating their first ever ad. Not delivering wasn’t an option since the brand trusted us on a friend’s recommendation. Hence we pulled up our socks, got our grey matter working and came up with an ad having a desi fervour to it. A jingle based ad, the video was loved by the client and saw its relay on TV, PVRs and digital platform.

  14. Kohler, a global brand with global expectations

    The global sanitary ware brand Kohler is known for their brilliant advertisements. Therefore when they chose us to create their initial product films representing their key items, we were a little shocked. However the videos were made well enough to be used by their international team as well. And for us, it was a great honour to create something, which can stand an international scrutiny and fare well too. We till date have been the same old good creative guys for them who deliver what they promise.

  15. Likely small actually tall, content for Pantaloons

    Once again Aditya Birla group gave us a chance to prove ourselves. This time it was for Pantaloons. We had to create activation videos for their activation team. Initially it seemed like a piece of cake but proved to be opposite. There were countless moving parts which had to fit in the mechanics and yet some creative, high production value oriented and quick videos were needed. We took it on ourselves and went on to collaborate with all of their activations. And made videos of their memorable activities out of which some even made world records.

  16. RajKumar Rao, Paytm and a new campaign

    A digital campaign video starring Rajkumar Rao for Paytm is hardly an ignorable assignment. For us too, it wasn’t. Though a small series of videos starring Rajkumar Rao and Women cricket captain Mithali Raj, this project helped us understand the celebrity shoot dynamics and better our production level. The videos came out and to our relief were satisfactory and met all the demands. Most importantly, it gave a good boost to our portfolio. 

  17. Airbnb throws the challenge

    Our first collaboration with MTV and Airbnb, this video was going to be a game changer for us. A branded show being done by MTV in collaboration with Airbnb had its promo stuck. The production house producing the show was somehow unable to crack the vision wanted by the Airbnb Singapore team. On one of our friend’s recommendations we were roped in for just post producing it. So seeking the opportunity and fulfilling the expectations we created a successful cut. This was going to yield fruitful results in future.

  18. It all repeats with Airbnb and Rajkumar Rao

    This was going to be a year with newer challenges for us. Our first one came as a surprise from MTV. We were given only 10 days to prep for a shoot to be done in Goa with Raj Kumar Rao and Patralekha. Apart from Raj Kumar Rao, Airbnb was another repeat with us. Our joy knew no bounds and same was the case with our anxiety. However our team was kicked for this one and hence the shoot turned out to be pretty great adding another feather in our cap.

  19. The vertical format show for TVF and Snapchat

    Another show with the digital age challenge knocked on our doors with TVF in collaboration with Snapchat. Till now shooting professional videos in vertical format wasn’t a thing. Neither much tech support was available for the same. But Snapchat was a portrait mode oriented platform and hence was the demand. We took up the challenge and went on to create 5 different digital shows and a whopping 120 content pieces for them. Probably being the first in India to do a mass production of professional Vertical videos. We never did the fact check or else would have surely got it published as NEWS. Kid you not.

  20. The Award Winning show, 3 seasons in a row

    MTV once again trusted us with another project. This time it was a show. A brilliant and bold take by Jockey on the never heard before stories of Women chasing their unconventional dreams and creating a living out of it. A 10 minute episodic show, Jockey Woman Portraits became a name to be remembered. Even after 3 seasons and 18 episodes the talk for newer seasons lights us up. Some things are just never enough.  

  21. A national level campaign knocks…

    Ganesh grains, A Kolkata based Flour Company contacted us to come up with an ad right from scratch to finalisation for their first national campaign. The ad was to be dubbed in 8 languages. We in associations with veteran directors of White light films made the massive budget ad and did the brand’s first national campaign. Running across Bengal, North India, Punjab and some South Indian states the ad was well received and did it’s job pretty well.

  22. Wild stone and the quirk

    Lauded for their Quirky campaigns, Wildstone has been a brand that every advertiser wants to work with. So when we got to do their digital Film we were pretty happy. However the challenge was that it was supposed to be a product film for their stores and partner outlets. Therefore we had to create an entertaining storyline focusing on a couple of products. And so we did. The film was created in the given time and another satisfied client was added to our ever-growing kitty.

  23. Rebranding challenge for Nayara Energy

    Essar oil was going under a sea change after it was bought by Russian partners and renamed as Nayara Energy. The brand had to be totally revamped and all its old content had to be revised. Much had to be redone to match newer standards. We got roped in and thus began a partnership under which a lot of newer videos were made. Right from their 3d logo to their brand films, CSR documentaries and Testimonial ads, we have done a lot for the brand and they have always been a great partner to be with.

  24. Content creators collaborate once again

    Happy with our previous work, TVF wanted to collaborate yet again for one of the branded shows being done for Sony liv, Sony channel’s digital wing. The brand on board was Fantain and the concept was around IPL. Using the innovative technology of AR (Augmented reality) we created a chat show around IPL, Cricket, Fun picks from cricketer’s lives and comedy from the best comics of Indian scene. The show was an instant hit, obviously had to be. What doesn’t in India which has cricket and comedy both in it!   

  25. Aura of Orra

    The jewellery brand Orra was brought to us by our long time agency partner Buzzinga. However it came with a genuine challenge. They wanted to launch the film within 10 days since they wanted the film to be launched with one of their premium store openings. With a massive creative lure it was impossible to decline the project. Therefore the challenge was on and within the stipulated time a great looking ad film with equally emotional quotient was delivered.

  26. India’s first Hair and Make-up show and us

    The year had one more surprise for us before it left us. MTV Winged. Though it came with a cost of only 10 days pre production deadline. Therefore with a mammoth task and limited time for creating India’s first Makeup and hair Talent show, we braced ourselves. Brand Lakme Aptech was on board and being a branded content we had double the responsibility. But it all became worthwhile when Lakme got happy with content, quality and the social media numbers.

  27. Got a job with Get A Job

    We were just getting our breath back when in the very first week of 2020 Linked In Get A Job happened. A massive show with its 6th season in production, this was previously done by the companies which were triple of our size. Guess we were gaining speed. A show spread in 12 different cities, shot in two phases at all locations and involving 12 ace global companies, Get a job was a dream come true.

  28. When the world came to a stand still

    This is the time when the world literally came to a stand still. For the first time in centuries we saw clear skies, drop in pollution, empty streets and a deadly virus in the name of COVID-19 (Corona). A virus so deadly that it wiped out lakhs and affected billions globally. Due to government restrictions we all were home bound and hence we at Once upon a time decided to write another chapter and bring to you this website. Amidst the deadly silence created by a virus and ironically pure atmosphere, outmedia.in became more than just a domain name.
